Why Ruby on Rails won't become mainstream

Here is an interesting article taking a close look at why, despite all its strengths, Ruby on Rails is not anywhere close to replacing Java or ASP.net to write Web applications. Interestingly, the author of the article likes Ruby on Rails, but that doesn't stop him from being objective about the chances of success of that framework.
